There are a lot of stereotypes and standards that women are subjected to in their daily lives, but the question of how their bodies should look like is certainly one of the most important ones. The perception of the ideal female body is dynamic and can change through time and also vary between different cultures and societies – with the media playing an important role.

Kasdieniniame gyvenime moterys ištisai susiduria su įvairiais stereotipais, vienas iš populiariausių – idealios figūros paieškos. Idealios figūros savoka labai priklauso nuo laikotarpio, kultūros, esamos visuomenės ir žinoma žiniasklaidos. Vienos visuomenės seka Vakarų standarto – lieknumo kulto, kitos vis labiau pripažista moterų figūrų įvairovę.

In many countries, quotas are used as an efficient measure to diversify politics. Egalitarian and female-friendly policy is closely linked to the number of female politicians. However, it should be carefully examined if making it easier for some women to enter the ruling class will improve social conditions for others.

Daudzās valstīs, kvotas tiek izmantotas kā efektīvs politikas dažādošanas rīks. Egalitāra un sievietēm draudzīga politika tiek cieši saistīta ar sieviešu politiķu skaitu. Tomēr ir nepieciešams rūpīgi izpētīt, vai tas, ka dažām sievietēm tiek atvieglota iekļūšana valdošajā šķirā, nozīmē sociālo apstākļu un dzīves līmeņa uzlabošanos pārējiem valsts iedzīvotājiem.

Last year’s parliamentary elections introduced a record number of women to the Polish Parliament, as well as the third female Prime Minister. However the Polish political scene still remains dominated by men, and the idea of female politicians as “puppets” is widely talked about.

Zeszłoroczne wybory parlamentarne wprowadziły do polskiego Parlamentu rekordową liczbę kobiet. Trzecia w historii kobieta zajęła stanowisko Premiery. Scena polityczna pozostaje jednak zdominowana przez mężczyzn, a polityczki niejednokrotnie przedstawiane są w debacie publicznej jako ,,marionetki.
