The month of May is not only ‘Sex Ed for All Month‘ but it also raises awareness for World Clitoris Day (22 May). As part of the #MyClitCounts campaign, Young Feminist Europe and Louisa Lorenz bring to you ‘Clit Talk’ – a mini workshop that aims to debunk some of the myths and misconceptions surrounding the ‘unknown organ’.

“Clitoris is a word most people are familiar with. Yet most of us are unaware that our idea of what the clitoris is, only refers to a fraction of the actual organ. Still today, the clitoris is vastly misrepresented in medical and educational materials, even though there has been medical knowledge on the extent of the organ for a very long time.

In this mini workshop, you will learn about the full anatomy of the clitoris and get an overview about it’s complexity and some of its functions. Moreover, we will also discuss some of the social and political aspects concerning representation of sexual organs and education on sexual anatomy.”
