For International Father’s Day, I shared this little message from the heart with my father, who is a wonderful parent but who I’ve lost that deep connection with as I’ve gotten older. The Covid-19 crisis has put the economic, social and health systems of all over the world on it’s head, and institutions have failed to respond. An Italian feminist collective decided to create a network of pro-choice realities in order to support and guide women* who were seeking for an abortion.
Within western society, the female body has been corrupted to be ‘innately’ sexual for the masculine, and thus it has been regarded as unspeakable, unseeable. It exists to serve two purposes; bearing children and conforming to the sexual desires of the valued phallus.
