Young Women*: Leaders of Today, not just Tomorrow

In a society still very much governed by patriarchal structures and in a world where many women suffer through systematic oppression, International Women’s Day is a critical symbol for raising awareness of the importance of intersectional feminism.

As long as people of all genders, including non-binary genders, are not equal, we need feminism.
This year’s IWD 2021 campaign theme is #ChooseToChallenge
We can all choose to challenge and call out gender bias and inequality. We can all choose to seek out and celebrate women’s achievements. Raise awareness against bias. Take action for equality.
Collectively, we can all help create an inclusive world.

To commemorate and resignify IWD 2021, and in line with this year’s focus theme – “Women in leadership: Achieving an equal future in a COVID-19 world” – YFE is going to publish a series of articles /blogs on the topic and share useful resources from grassroot & other civil society organisations.

We are also organising a poster-making session and a roundtable event under the title “Imagining feminist futures post-COVID-19.”
